The Deuter Kikki in maple-umbra is a children’s backpack designed for little explorers aged 3 and up. Its child-friendly look inspired by cute animals combines playful styling with everyday practicality. This pack is a great choice for kindergarten, walks, short outings and family trips. With an 8-liter capacity, a weight of around 310 g and dimensions of 35 x 20 x 17 cm, it offers enough room for daily essentials. The main compartment stores the basics, while two elastic side pockets provide easy access to a water bottle or small items. An elastic inner compartment helps separate wet clothing or other gear. Material loops on the front add utility, and reflective details plus reflective name lettering improve visibility. Carrying comfort comes from the Deuter Contact back system with soft back padding for a comfortable fit and balanced load distribution. The ergonomic S-shaped shoulder straps with Soft-Edge finish wrap comfortably around children’s shoulders, while the adjustable sternum strap helps keep the backpack stable during movement. The backpack is made from durable 600D REC PES recycled fabric. According to the manufacturer, the material is produced from the equivalent of 15 recycled 0.5-liter PET bottles. The Kikki is a bluesign® product, carries the Green Button certification and is made without PFAS, highlighting a more responsible approach to materials and manufacturing. It is a practical kids’ daypack that combines comfort, durability and sustainability-minded features.
