The Deuter Ascender 7 Black is a lightweight running backpack / trail running pack designed for fast movement on demanding terrain. With a 7-liter volume and a weight of around 315 g, it is built to sit close to the body and reduce load bounce while running. The black colorway gives it a clean, sporty look, while the slim profile supports unrestricted movement on the trail. Deuter equips this trail running backpack with wide, ergonomic vest-style shoulder straps, an elasticated compression system, and two adjustable sternum straps for a garment-like fit. The soft back material enhances carrying comfort, while the stretch mesh inner pocket and side compression straps help keep the load stable over uneven ground. The shoulder straps include soft flask pockets plus a zippered pocket for a phone, GPS device, or energy bars. A holster pocket on the front of one shoulder strap allows quick access to collapsible poles. The Ascender 7 is hydration-system compatible up to 2 liters and includes practical details for training sessions and race days: a secure compartment for valuables, an elastic inner compartment for wet clothing, a safety whistle, and an SOS label. It uses the Deuter Lite System and is made from 100% recycled fabrics certified to the bluesign® standard. Deuter also states that the product is manufactured without PFAS and uses DWR impregnation.
