The Deuter AC Lite 16 Black is a lightweight hiking backpack and daypack designed for day hikes, trail walks and active outdoor use. Its clean black colorway gives it a versatile, sporty look that works well in the mountains and for everyday carry. The top-loading construction with drawcord and lid makes packing simple, while the roomy main compartment helps keep essential gear organized and close at hand. This hiking pack features the ultra-light Deuter Aircomfort back system, developed for maximum ventilation through the space between the mesh back and the pack body. A permanently elastic round-profile spring steel frame supports stable load transfer and carrying comfort. The result is an excellent weight-to-comfort ratio that is especially valuable on longer walks and hikes. The Deuter AC Lite 16 includes an adjustable sternum strap, ventilated hip fins, a smartphone pocket, elastic mesh side pockets, inner and outer lid compartments, attachment loops for gear and poles, a glasses holder on the shoulder strap and a key clip. It is compatible with a hydration system up to 2 liters, can be paired with an optional helmet net and comes with a removable rain cover. An SOS label with emergency numbers adds another practical detail for use on the trail. In terms of materials and sustainability, the pack uses 600D PES REC BS and 210D PA RECYCLED fabrics. Deuter states that 50% of the yarn is made from recycled raw materials, while the main material is bluesign® certified. The product is made without PFAS and uses an environmentally friendlier DWR finish. Additional sustainability credentials include bluesign® and Grüner Knopf certification.
